Harvest Potluck

Today was the ‘Harvest Potluck’ in Brendan’s classroom. He likes cheese and grapes, so of course we made a cheese and grape turkey.

Yes, I’m proud of my food sculpture.

People brought some yummy food – including pumpkin bread (thanks to Harper’s Grandma!) and a yummy thing with cheese and puff pastry (thanks to Julien’s Mom!). Brendan must have really enjoyed the food, because he felt it necessary to stand up every few minutes and yell, ‘HOORAY!’.

(notice there are only two small people sharing in this excitement)

Soon this became a rolling party with little feet flying everywhere.

(there actually are other children in the class room besides Brendan and Harper and Ruby, they are just the ones who are always having fun)

Then Aunt Lisa and Charlie showed up, and Brendan flung himself at the gate to say hello.

Mommy had to go back to work for a little while, so Miss Gracie came over and announced that she was stealing him. When I came back to pick him up, they told me that he was yelling something else – “NO WAY!”. He learned this from Uncle Darin, who is in big, big trouble… A fun time, and so different from last years Harvest festival where B sat in my lap and couldn’t even crawl yet.
